Amphibians are cold-blooded vertebrates. They have soft, absorbent skin that needs to be kept moist. Amphibians can breathe through their porous skins, They lay eggs or spawn in water, which hatch into aquatic larvae which then metamorphose into a terrestrial juveniles that become mature adults.
