A pixie-cup lichen with a long stalk looking similar to a 'golf tee'. It prefers unpolluted air and can be found on rotting logs.

Cup lichen found in mossy, shaded, locations. The podetia(stalk) and cup interior are coarsely sorediate(having soredia). Soredia are powdery structures used in asexual reproduction.

Very common lichen often found on mossy trunks and rotting stumps and logs.
