Great White Egret

Great White Egret

Ardea alba

The Great White Egret is a large bird that belongs to the Heron family. It can look much like the Little Egret, but is much larger and has black feet instead of yellow. The bill is yellow, becoming darker during the breeding season. The Great White Egret feeds on fish, insects and amphibians, using its sharp beak to spear them.
