Folliiocolous Lichens grow on leaves...

Phylloblastia inexpectata Different to most lichens in the UK because it grows on leaves. The picture shows a holly leaf that has lost its glossy sheen. This has been caused by the lichen which appears as tiny black dots. Thanks to recorder John Skinner for confirming with a microscope.

Lepraria are known as Dust Lichens.

Lepraria incana Powdery lichen that grows on old silver birch trees. It is the commonest lichen in Eastern England.
