Ring-necked Parakeet
Psittacula krameri
The Ring-necked Parakeet feeds on a wide range of seeds, berries, fruit, nuts and other vegetation. They are now well-establish in Hainault Forest and are found in large noisy flocks. They nest in holes in trees and begin nesting as early as January, sometimes waiting until mid-summer before laying eggs.
