Shrew

Sorex

Shrews are insectivores that have distinctive pointed noses, tiny eyes and measure up to about 75mm in length. The tail is only half as long as the head and body combined. They must feed every two-three hours to survive and generally only live for about a year. Habitats include scrub, grassland and woodland.
