SHREWS

Common Shrews are insectivores that have distinctive pointed noses, tiny eyes and are up to about 75mm long. The tail is only half as long as the head and body combined. They must feed every two-three hours to survive and generally only live for about a year. Habitats include scrub, grassland and woodland.
