Saxicola torquata

The male Stonechat has a black head, brown back, black throat, a white half-collar and an orange-red breast. Females and juveniles are paler. Its call sounds like two small stones being hit togethe hence its common name. This species frequents scrub, heathland and boggy habitats. They feed on invertebrates, seeds and fruit.
