Grey Wagtails are resident throughout the year. They are sometimes seen near Hainault Lake inflow and outflow streams. They feed on insects.

Pied Wagtails feed on mainly on insects and sometimes seeds. They are small, long-tailed birds that have a preference for open spaces like car parks and large lawns where they search for food.
