Hairy Shieldbug

Dolycoris baccarum

This is a recently moulted teneral with bright pink colouration before normal adult pigmentation develops. It has just shed its final nymphal skin. This is a temporary stage, until melanin and dark pigments change it into a typical brown and purple adult.
