Chicken
This picture shows one of several chickens that can be seen at the farm. The term "pecking order" comes from the social dynamics of flocks. Chickens create a defined hierarchy to determine the order of access to food, water, and preferred roosting locations. In the UK, farm chickens are provided with commercially balanced feed. Under Defra regulations, dried mealworms and processed insect proteins are prohibited to avert the risk of disease transmission from uncertain feed sources. It is illegal to use these as feed on the farm.
