Hairy Shieldbug

Dolycoris baccarum

Gorse shieldbugs are usually seen on European gorse bushes. They have an average size of around 10-13mm. The ones that emerge to mate in spring are typically green. They turn darker as winter approaches - a sign that they will soon be hibernating.
