Lilioceris lilii
First recorded in the UK during 1905. The shiny bright red elytra have rows of dimples on the surface. Adults (10mm) have a preference for damp habitats and can be found from April to September. Their tiny black larvae feed on lily plants. The larvae disguise themselves as bird droppings by covering themselves in excrement.
