Silver Helmets and Purple Plumes

Riders from the Westminster Dragoons wore smart scarlet tunics, silver helmets with purple plumes, cross-belts and swords. The brass bands maintained sufficient distance to avoid any clash in their tunes. Judging prizes for the cycle riders presented challenges due to the high number of entries, all of which were of excellent quality; additionally, public encroachment made it difficult to view all the cycles adequately. There were several innovative concepts showcased, including a gondola positioned on the right side of this postcard.
