This postcard was not used postally, but had the following message across the back so persumably it was delivered in person:

"Dear M, If you study this car very carefully you will perhaps see me sitting on the pole. I will put a cross over myself."

The Cynicus Publishing Company began publishing colour postcards in 1902. The card has no dividing line on the back indicating it was published around that time.
