Hedgehog

Erinaceus europaeus

A hedgehog is a small, nocturnal mammal with a back covered in thousands of stiff spines. When faced with danger, they roll into a tight ball using their spikes for protection against predators. Their strong sense of smell assists them in locating food. They mainly feed on insects, worms, slugs, and snails.
