Slow Worms may look like snakes, but they are actually legless lizards. Unlike snakes they blink. Snakes don't have eyelids so never blink. Snakes have pronounced forked tongues, those of Slow-worms differ by being notched. The head is connected to the body with no distinct join, whereas snakes normally have a pronounced neck region.
