HISTORY OF ILFORD

Cranbrook Road looking towards Ilford Broadway. The shop awnings on the left are unreadable. Ilford Baptist Church is celebrating an anniversary of some kind. Isn't it nice how people felt they could leave their bicycles at the kerb with no fear of them being stolen. The shop on the right is Ilford Motor Company.

"We arrived home safely and in good time. The Boss wasnt tired - in fact, he cut the lawn after tea! Wonderful for him. This is a view of the main road near here - nice and wide and lots of lovely frock shops. No hotels of any kind in name! Lots of love, Bobby."
